Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

General & Getting Started

Contact us (or send us your bills and photos). We’ll assess your roof, energy use, and goals, then provide a short feasibility report with a recommended system size, estimated production, and payback estimate.
Typical residential timelines: consultation & design (1-2 weeks), procurement (depends on stock - often 1-4 weeks), installation (2-3 days on site), then testing & commissioning (1-2 days). Exact timing depends on site complexity and equipment availability.

Consultation, Design & Approvals

Yes. We analyze your electricity bills and daily usage patterns to size the system for real savings - factoring roof orientation, shading, and local sunlight to produce a realistic annual energy estimate.
Our design team includes a GCPV-qualified PV designer (a rare qualification locally). We provide detailed single-line diagrams, cable sizing, voltage-drop checks, and loss/derate calculations so the design is safe, efficient, and upgrade-ready.
Yes - we do the application to the authority for you so you don’t have to.

Equipment & Procurement

Yes - you can specify brands. We’ll advise on compatibility, warranties, and expected performance, and we perform compatibility checks before procurement to avoid mismatches.
Yes - we manage logistics and documentation, including assistance with duty exemption paperwork where applicable, to ensure smooth delivery to site.

Installation, Testing & Commissioning

Yes - our installation team is certified and trained, and we follow strict QA/QC and safety procedures. Work is documented with QA logs and torque/alignment checks. We carry insurance for workmanship.
We perform DC and AC insulation/polarity/continuity tests, sample string IV checks (open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current), inverter start-up and functional tests, protective device verification (isolators, SPDs, breakers), and configure monitoring/data-loggers. You receive signed test reports and a commissioning certificate.
Yes - we provide a simple walkthrough of the monitoring dashboard and hand over user guides so homeowners can read production, track savings, and understand alerts.

Operation & Maintenance

Standard O&M includes annual inspections (PV modules, structures, cables, inverters, MSB), DC/AC electrical tests, spot cleaning, monitoring, firmware updates, and warranty coordination. We offer a 48-hour breakdown response time for faults and 24/7 support for urgent issues.
For most Sabah homes, annual cleaning is a good baseline. If you’re near the sea, in dusty areas, or have heavy bird activity, cleaning may be needed more often. Clean panels can restore production loss - studies commonly show improvements up to around ~20% depending on local conditions.
Absolutely. We do system health checks, inverter replacements/upgrades, add battery storage (AC-coupled or DC-coupled options), expand arrays, and re-commission after repairs. We’ll check compatibility and produce a recommended upgrade plan with costs and ROI.
